A successful year, with no rain cancellations.  There was rain late Saturday/Early Sunday of Mardi Gras weekend, but no rain reschedules.

A popular personalized throw this year were poker chips.  Many individual riders designed and purchased personal poker chips representing their parade and float location.  There were over 100 different documented poker chips.

We saw Baccha-Whoppa have a baby, Baby Whoppa, introducing a new signature float to Bacchus.  Speaking of Bacchus,  their King Patrick Wharburton served spectacularly and was followed by a Grand Marshal of Bacchus, newly selected NFL Hall-of-Famer, Drew Brees.
Early in the Carnival season, we experieinced some cold weather, nearly freezing out Slidell's big weekend of parades with Titans/Bilge/Poseidon/Antheia.  The cold weather foced many dance teams to cancel from participating in Poseidon, but those that did march were spectactular.  A notable memory from parade lineup for Poseidon was seeing the 610 Stompers still in their blue shorts.
