Carnival 2020

This was the last Carnival before the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to the rapid spread of the virus around this time, Carnival was considered to be a "super spreader" event.
During Carnival, there were unfortunately a few tragic events with a woman dying after being hit by a float during the rewe of Nyx and another gentleman slipping under a float during the Krewe of Endymion. Becuase both people's deaths were related to tandem floats, parades were ordered to roll separated or with protective mesh to block people from going between floats.
Due to the Hard Rock Hotel disaster, Zulu and Rex had to adjust their routes.
Enough with the bad news...
The Krewe of Muses celebrated 20 years! Jennifer Coolidge, the beloved, award-winning actress rode through the streets of Uptown as the Honorary Muse.

We saw the Magical Krewe of Mad Hatters roll in their inaugural parade with "Mad Hatter" Bobby Hebert. The parade also highlighted "celebrity riders" on each float depicting various characters from the Alice in Wonderland story. Additonally, floats had local popular musical acts playing along the route.
