A float lineup is the planned sequence of floats, marching units, bands, and specialty groups within a parade.

The term is also interchangably used for the beginning area for the parade where the parade is setup in their “rolling order”.

Often at float lineup, you will see bands have a friendly playing competition to see who’s band plays the tightest and with the most gusto.
