Arthur Hardy is a long time Carnival historian in New Orleans. For many years, he produced a Mardi Gras guide, which included facts about parades, schedules, maps, articles about Carnival, and advertisements which highlight the wonderful businesses of the New Orleans area.

Besides his annual Mardi Gras Guides (which he recently sold to the Advocate, who will continue its legacy), Arthur published several editions of his Mardi Gras History books, and books documenting particular Krewe’s history.

He has been a welcomed expert and correspondent for Carnival on the TV and radio news broadcasts of New Orleans during carnival season for almost 50 years.

Due to his long time service to the New Orleans area, he is considered a hero by many in the New Orleans area.
