A procession of a Krewe’s members to celebrate the Krewe’s past year. Often, its members are riding on floats, but there are many Krewes which host walking parades. Typically in the Carnival season, paraders will throw or hand out trinkets,, throws, and keepsakes to remeber the parade by.
Parades typically will have a Theme for the year, which the floats or member groups will tell the story of.
Interspersed between floats or groups of marching members, you often will see school and social marching bands, dance teams, or riding clubs.
