Founded in 2000 by Captain Diane Barrillieux along with several dedicated members, the Krewe of Excalibur first paraded in 2002. Hitting the streets of Metairie, the Krewe of Excalibur is known for its beautiful royalty, Captains, and Court member costumes.
Our signature throw is our beautifully decorated dragon eggs.
Today, our Krewe rolls on the Friday of Family Gras with 300 riders, bringing a strong start to a weekend full of parades with our beautiful floats, amazing bands and talented dance teams from across the metropolitan area.
