NOTE: Let me start by apologizing that the sound is terrible in a few places on this video due to some technical difficulties. There are a few places where I simply did a voiceover of myself explaining what was being discussed in some sections of the interview.
But, we had the tremendous honor of interviewing the incredible First Lady of Mardi Gras, WYES documentary creator and personality, hostess of the Annual Meeting of the Courts & Rex Ball, host of WYES’ Steppin Out’….. the lovely and amazing Mrs. Peggy Scott Laborde. We discuss Phunny Phorty Phellows, the traditions and history surrounding the Krewe, our love of all things Carnival, and her work on New Orleans’ WYES. We literally could have talked for hours about Mardi Gras and still had hours more to talk about. Such an amazing woman!
